'N Ice Day
posted by clake at 4:02 PM
Klake found out how to make cold-brewed iced coffee from this recipe published in the NY Times. Cold-brewing is quite easy and can be done with a mason jar, a strainer, and a coffee filter. (It tells you to run the brewed coffee through a filter twice, but I find that once through a mesh strainer and then once through a filter works just fine.) The resulting brew is so wonderfully tasty, enjoyable, and smooth! I like mine with just a splash of skim milk and no further sweetening. This is what I'm going to be drinking in the morning from now until mid-autumn's crisp air and painted foliage turn a gentleman's a.m. thoughts toward toastier tipples.
Here's a link to the accompanying article as well.
